Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Quick-Wedge screwdrivers, orders, and warranty.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

A: Quick-Wedge features a patented double split blade that wedges into the screw slot and grips it firmly — so the screw stays on the tip even when the screwdriver is held upside down. This lets you start and drive screws one-handed in tight spaces where other screwdrivers simply can’t reach.

A: Quick-Wedge screwdrivers are designed for slotted screws. They are screw starters — designed to hold and position the screw, not to apply heavy torque for final tightening.

A: Quick-Wedge screwdrivers are designed as screw starters and drivers, not torque tools. Do not use them to apply heavy torque when tightening — doing so will void the warranty.

A: The Original Series is the classic screw-holding screwdriver in a full range of blade sizes, suitable for everyday trade use. The 1000 Volt Series is fully insulated for safe work on energized electrical systems up to 1,000 volts. The Non-Sparking Series is made from non-sparking alloys for use in hazardous environments where a spark could trigger a fire or explosion.

A: Quick-Wedge is a division of J&M Innovative Products, based in Woods Cross, Utah.

THE 1000 VOLT SERIES

A: It means every tool in the 1000 Volt Series is fully insulated and tested to withstand up to 1,000 volts, making them safe for use on live electrical systems. They are built for professional electricians and industrial technicians working on energized equipment.
A: The 1000 Volt Series is rated and tested for high-voltage environments. Please contact us for specific certification details for your application.

NON-SPARKING SERIES

A: Non-sparking tools are made from special alloys that do not produce sparks when struck or used. This makes them essential in hazardous environments where flammable gases, vapors, or dust may be present — such as oil and gas facilities, chemical plants, grain handling operations, and mining sites.
A: The Non-Sparking Series is used in oil and gas, chemical plants, grain handling facilities, mining operations, and any environment where flammable or explosive materials are present.

WARRANTY

A: Every Quick-Wedge screwdriver comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, as long as the tool is used as intended. The warranty does not cover damage caused by using the screwdriver as a torque tool to forcefully tighten screws.
A: Using the screwdriver to apply heavy torque when tightening screws will void the warranty. Quick-Wedge tools are screw starters and drivers — not torque tools.
A: Contact us through our Contact page with your order details and a description of the issue. If the failure is due to a manufacturing defect, we will replace the tool at no charge.
